Our Team
Supports churches and ministry organisations in safe ministry practices, abuse prevention and providing advice on matters of abuse. Vera works flexible hours three days per week.
Responsible for all administrative matters including the Working with Children Check and SRE authorisation. Works Monday – Wednesday, then Friday.
Manages the development, delivery and review of Breaking the Silence training and BTS-related ministry resources. Works for CPU Monday to Wednesday morning.Â
Responsible for auditing and supporting churches in their implementation of Breaking the Silence in their local ministry activities. Works flexible hours two days per week.
Provides pastoral care and support to individuals working with the CPU through difficult situations. Referrals for CPU chaplaincy are made via the CPU Director or Case manager.
Provides support and advice for notifiable circumstances and matters of abuse. Works flexible hours.
A CONTACT PERSON
If you wish to speak to someone who is independent of the church, you may request to speak to a Contact Person when you contact the CPU. You do not necessarily need to provide details of the complaint, but the CPU may require your contact number to provide you with the details of a Contact Person. The Contact Person will listen to you without blame or bias, and provide information about relevant support services, the right to seek legal advice and the possible need for reporting to appropriate authorities.
