Upcoming Domestic and Family Violence Training Sessions

Periodically the CPU will run a training session on ‘Understanding and Responding to Domestic & Family Violence’. This training session varies between an in-person session in your area or through an online session.

The CPU will notify your church’s BTS representative if a training session is available for your area.

Domestic violence is a significant concern in our society and often presents major pastoral challenges. We believe it is important that the church is equipped to face this issue with understanding and resources for the task. This basic training will cover recognising the signs of domestic violence, how it impacts those affected, how to respond to disclosures appropriately, including reporting obligations and referring.

Please note:

This is a 4-hour training event, run as 2×2-hour sessions. Only register if you can commit to attending BOTH sessions. You will not cover the whole training content if you only attend one session.
